Raven Ray,[1] also known as Slippery Sid in the United Kingdom,[2] is an Aquazone Stingrays minifigure released in 1998.

Description

Raven Ray wears a dark grey helmet and torso with a black hip, bright red hands, and earth orange legs. His face is printed with black hair, red eyes, and an elongated mouth.

In the Time Cruisers, Raven Ray is portrayed with red legs just like Commander Manta Ray. However, he is still identifiable by his distinct torso armor.

Background

Raven Ray is a member of the Stingrays who takes pride in being slimy and villainous, although Bricks 'n' Pieces asserts that this is only sometimes true and he is actually cute. Despite his great intelligence when it comes to planning crystal raids, he often found himself in a Hydronaut holding cell due to foolishly working by himself.

In Deep in the Danger Zone, Raven Ray follows a trail of crystals leading into a Hydronauts trap. Navigator Stinger Ray attempts to rescue him with the Sea Scorpion, but he ends up captured as well.[3] In An Adventurous Holiday, Crystal Miner drops Raven Ray through a secret trap door and into the Hydronauts' prison, leading to another Stingray vowing to break him out.

In the Time Cruisers comic, Raven Ray and Manta Ray capture Tim Timebuster, and Raven advises Manta to not bother pursuing Ingo while they bring their prisoner to their commander. This ultimately backfires upon the Stingrays when Ingo leads a shark toward their Stingray Stormer.

Slippery Sid - Sometimes referred to as the 'Oily Eel' coz he's a greasy, slimy, writhing snake-like individual who takes pride in being REAL bad! (Well sometimes). He's cute really!
